Join us for a drive up America’s Mountain! One of the world’s most famous peaks, and one of the few that has a paved road to its summit. It is one of 53 peaks over 14,000 feet in Colorado, but the only one on the Front Range of the Rockies, with Colorado Springs at its base. The Pikes Peak Highway was built in 1915 by Spencer Penrose, founder of the spectacular Broadmoor Hotel. He also founded the world famous Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2016.
You will be guided up the mountain by 2015 PPIHC Vintage Division Champion, Chris Lennon. You’ll not only enjoy breathtaking scenery, but get a view into what it’s like to race in one of the world’s most dangerous and exciting events.
